According to statistics by Netflix Vietnam, the movie Hummingbird (also known as Redemption – Revenge ) has unexpectedly risen to the number 1 position on the movie chart. Having been released for quite a while, this movie with a budget of 20 million USD (more than 500 billion VND) unexpectedly holds the number 1 position, surpassing many new hot projects, making many audiences excited and curious.

Hummingbird is an action thriller about a former agent who has lost his time and is a drunkard, Joey Jones. Joey has a homeless friend named Isabel, who is later kidnapped by a group of human traffickers. This is also the group that attacked Joey at the beginning of the film, but Joey later escaped.

Joey later befriends a nun named Cristina, who accidentally learns of Isabel’s last movements before she was captured. The two then embark on a journey to find Isabel and defeat this gang of bad guys.

What most excited audiences about Hummingbird was the participation of action superstar Jason Statham. According to critics, Statham’s action scenes were also a rare highlight of the film. The project received a lot of controversy from experts, when some said that the film’s content was quite normal, just a background for the fighting scenes and nothing new.
