WATCH: Blake Shelton Teams Up with NOIVAS for a Stunning Rendition of ‘Home’ on ‘The Voice’—A Collaboration That’s Captivating Fans Everywhere

The rising country singer revealed that this song “really means a lot to me.”

Blake Shelton joined forces with The Voice finalist and member of Team Blake, NOIVAS, to perform his countrified rendition of “Home.”

Co-written by Alan Chang, Amy Foster-Gillies and Michael Bublé, the song was originally recorded by Bublé and later made famous by Shelton.

The singers appeared in the midst of a traditional country stage setting to deliver the powerful ballad, which Savion Wright, also known as “NOIVAS,” claims holds a special meaning for him as it reminds him of his life back with his wife and son.

“‘Home’ is an amazing song. Really means a lot to me. I’ve been missing my wife and my kids,” the rising singer/songwriter said ahead of the performance.

While strumming their guitars, NOIVAS and Shelton took turns serenading the audience with their stand-out vocals and sentimental narrative of missing the comfort of home.

“Let me go home / I’ve had my run / Baby, I’m done / I’m coming home / Let me go home / It’ll all be all right / I’ll be home tonight / I’m coming back home,” the pair sang in the final verse before ending the performance in a warm embrace.

Before taking the stage together, NOIVAS and his mentor had the chance to reflect on their season together.

“I like to think that over the course of the season, you’ve transformed into my old school image, but my gut tells me that you’ve just started transforming into what you look like when you’re at home, am I right?” Shelton asked.

“Yeah, that’s exactly it,” NOIVAS responded. “Actually, the only reason why I didn’t wear my cowboy hat before the blind audition was because my wife actually told me, she was like, ‘I don’t think you should do it.’ And I was like, ‘I can’t argue with her.’”

The country star then presented NOIVAS with a brand-new Takamine guitar so that he can “write us some songs.” This generous gift earned an awe-filled reaction from NOVIAS who’s preparing to take his music career to a whole new chapter following his time on the singing competition show.

Throughout his time on The Voice, NOVIAS has performed covers of Sam Cooke’s “A Change is Gonna Come” (Blind Audition), John Lennon’s “Jealous Guy” (Battles), Screamin’ Jay Hawkin’s “I Put A Spell On You” (Knockouts), Queen’s “Come Together” (Playoffs), Adele’s “Skyfall” (Top 8), and more.

During part one of the show’s season finale on Monday, May 22, he stunned the coaches with his cover’s of Chris Stapleton’s “Cold” and Lenny Kravitz’s “Fly Away.”

“I love that song, what a great song selection that was,” Clarkson gushed. “Like even for your voice, cause your voice is suited for that style as well. It’s soulful. It’s got a little country in there. A little rock and roll. I love all of that. That was a really smart choice for you to do right now.”

Shelton, who gave his team member a standing ovation continued, “That’s funny that you say that cause I was talking to Novias just a couple days ago and I said, ‘man, I think people actually kind of think of you as country anyway, you know what I’m saying?’ I mean, obviously he comes out here looking like big old Texas guy anyway, but I just think your personality and the way you make people feel is country.”

“So you doing a Chris Stapleton song, I mean, of course you sound natural doing it,” he added. “And by the way, you killed it dude. Congratulations.”

The two-hour season finale also featured guest performances from Maroon 5, Toosi, CeeLo Green, as well as Diplo featuring Lily Rose, and more.

In addition to NOVIAS Blake Shelton joined forces with Grace West, while Kelly Clarkson took to The Voice stage with D. Smooth. Niall Horan performed alongside Gina Miles and Chance The Rapper harmonized with the trio, Sorelle.

The show also included special appearances from John Legend, Gwen Stefani, Camila Cabello, Jennifer Hudson, Nick Jonas, Usher, Pharrell Williams and Dolly Parton.

It was surely an emotional evening as the show marked Blake Shelton final show as a coach on The Voice.
