HomeUncategorizedTHE CASE JUST TOOK A TURN POLICE DIDN’T EXPECT — AND THEN RUSHED TO CLARIFY. As reports spread that Savannah Guthrie’s brother-in-law Tommaso Cioni had been named a possible suspect in the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, authorities moved quickly to deny that any suspect or person of interest has been identified, even as they confirmed blood evidence at the home, ongoing forensic testing, smashed security cameras, and continued questioning of anyone who had contact with the 84-year-old before she vanished, creating a growing gap between what law enforcement is publicly saying and what outside reporting insists is happening behind the scenes. Why police felt compelled to issue such a firm denial at this exact moment — and what prompted it — is the detail quietly unsettling observers.

Cops Deny Report Brother-In-Law Could Be a Suspect
6:55 AM PT — No suspects have been identified in the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department said Wednesday morning.
The department tells TMZ … “We have not identified a suspect or person of interest in this case. Detectives continue to speak with anyone who may have had contact with Mrs. Guthrie. We are also awaiting additional forensic results.”
They add, “We are not confirming the car being seized, we are unsure where that reporter is getting that information.”
There’s a potentially stunning twist in the kidnapping of ‘TODAY’ anchor Savannah Guthrie‘s mother Nancy…anAshleigh Banfield report claiming her son-in-law might be a suspect.
Banfield — an independent journalist and former NewsNation host — reported Tuesday night, a law enforcement source told her Tommaso Cioni has been identified by police as a possible suspect in the case.
Cioni is married to Savannah’s sister Annie, and we know she was the last person to see Nancy on Saturday night when they reportedly had dinner together. It’s unclear if Cioni was also at the dinner.
As you know, Nancy’s family called police Sunday after they got word she didn’t show up to her regular Sunday church service.
Now, Banfield reports investigators have towed Annie’s car, which has “some connection” to 50-year-old Cioni. Banfield adds that all the cameras at Nancy’s Tucson, Arizona home were smashed.
Tuesday, NewsNation published a video showing a trail of blood outside the front steps of Nancy’s house. The Los Angeles Times reported Nancy’s blood was found at the crime scene.

Police say Nancy was kidnapped from her home in the middle of the night — sometime between Saturday night and Sunday morning. Investigators are working fast to find Nancy … believing time is of the essence. She’s 84, in poor health, and without her daily medication.
