What began as a spring break trip ended in tragedy when a crash claimed three young lives. But in the middle of the chaos, one split-second decision is what people are holding onto now. According to reports, a Georgia teen used his final moment to protect his sister before the full impact hit. She survived in critical condition. He did not.

A Georgia teen is clinging to life after her heroic older brother sacrificed his own in a horrific spring break crash that wiped out the girl’s closest circle.

Jamison Mobley, 17, was the lone survivor of the devastating Franklin County, Florida, wreck – which killed her 18-year-old brother, Jackson Mobley, and her two best friends, Jaylyn Fehr, 17, and Charlotte Martin, 16, on Monday, according to a heart-wrenching Facebook post that publicly named the victims for the first time.

Jackson is believed to have saved his sister in the final moments before the Jeep veered off Highway 65 and slammed into a treeline as the tight-knit group made their way to St. George Island to visit friends and family during their Atlanta-area high school’s spring break.

“We know the last thing his soul did earth side was to help save his sister, Jamison,” reads a video tribute posted on the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office’s social media Wednesday.

Jamison, a star volleyball player and avid musician, was airlifted from the tragic scene to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in critical condition.

While still at the hospital, she’s “now facing the difficult reality of healing while grieving the loss of her brother and closest friends” the tribute reads.

Harrowing photos included in the post show the brunette beauty posing alongside her late friends on a volleyball court and in formal gowns.

Jamison, who “has the voice of an angel” and participates in multiple church youth groups, has a long journey to healing — from both her injuries and unfathomable loss, the post says.

“While her road to recover is going to be hard & she’s going to need all the support she can get, Jamison survived for a reason. We know God has big plans for her & part of that plan is to never allow the memories & all Jackson, Jaylynn & Charlotte stood for to fade. She loves her two best friends & brother with all her heart. Please continue to pray for Jamison’s recovery,” the tribute reads.

The post goes on to describe her savior brother as a “gentle giant, an incredible brother” and a “dream son” who “had the best one-liners.

“He was a friend to all, could make you laugh like no other & had big dreams,” according to the tribute, which said the high school senior planned to study HVAC at Chattahoochee Technical College in the fall, and aspired to own his own commercial business in the field one day.

“The void Jack will leave behind is insurmountable,” reads the tribute, which is accompanied by gut-wrenching photos of the handsome young man grinning ear-to-ear in two-piece suits.

Fehr, a junior at Horizon Christian Academy, was described as an honor roll student, outstanding volleyball player and a beloved member of her church.

“Jaylyn was a light that people were drawn to. Her kind heart, always everyone together and included, allowed her to impact so many. She was smart, funny, witty, compassionate and empathetic.

“Jaylyn’s legacy is one of faith, kindness, and connection,” the post reads, adding that she had wanted to pursue a law degree upon high school graduation next year.

A GoFundMe set up to help Fehr’s parents with travel and funeral expenses had raised nearly $34,000 of its $50,000 goal as of Wednesday, while one to support Martin’s family had amassed nearly $12,000 or its $35,000 objective.

Martin – who was also a decorated volleyball player and beloved church-goer – was the youngest of the group.

“Her life reflected a rare combination of excellence, leadership and kindness,” reads the tribute to Martin, which lists many academic, leadership and athletic accomplishments.

“We find peace knowing she is with the Lord, and her life will continue to impact everyone who knew her,” the post says.

Crosses bearing the names of the three late teens will be placed at the accident site “as a small memorial in their honor,” the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office said.
