Couple get engaged in middle of World Cup clash but heartwarming moment is RUINED seconds later
TWO Uruguay fans got engaged in the stands on Sunday night… only for a Cape Verde goal to instantly spoil their big moment.
A man wearing a blue Uruguay shirt and holding a baby decided to get down on one knee and pop the question at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium.

Rather than do so at half-time, the bold fan decided to propose while the game was going on – with disastrous consequences.
While his partner appeared to say yes, the game carrying on behind them put a pin in their moment.
Surrounding Uruguayan fans had cheered as their fellow supporter put the engagement ring on his new fiancee.
But it was quickly the Cape Verde fans in front bellowing in delight as their team scored.
Uruguay had led 2-1 when the question was popped.
But a horrible mix-up at the back allowed Helio Varela to steal in front of goalkeeper Fernando Muslera and equalise.
The proposal occurred just after the hour mark in Miami.
And Uruguay were unable to find a winner, the match finishing 2-2 and putting Marcelo Bielsa’s side at risk of elimination.
Uruguay have only picked up two points from matches against Saudi Arabia and Cape Verde.
Should they fail to beat Spain in their final group game, the South American side could find themselves taking an early flight home.
Cape Verde, meanwhile, have been one of the tournament’s surprise packages – with their goalkeeper Vozinha particularly making headlines.
The 40-year-old gained an astonishing 15million Instagram followers following his sensational performance in the 0-0 draw with Spain – before his mother stole the show after jetting in to watch her boy play in Miami last night.
