Emotional moment Casemiro and his wife break down in tears as they say goodbye to Man Utd in documentary
CASEMIRO and his wife were both in tears when it came to saying goodbye to Manchester United last month.
The veteran Brazil international announced early in 2026 he would not be extending his four–year stay at Old Trafford beyond this summer.

4Yet he impressed during his final few months with the Red Devils – leading to fans calling for him to stay.
Now United have released a documentary paying tribute to the Real Madrid legend, 34, who is currently at the World Cup with his national team.
It shows the ups and downs of his stay in the North West after leaving the Bernabeu and includes words from the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Diogo Dalot and Matheus Cunha.
But the interviews from Casemiro himself and his other half, Anna, where the emotions really start to run high.
The interviews was done before his final appearance – against Nottingham Forest in May – and he could not hold back the tears.
He said: “I need to say thank you because it was four unbelievable years – I love this club, the fans, the people.
“It’s very special and emotional for me – I finish in this moment but it’s very emotional.”
His missus Anna added: “As a family we talked a lot and had to make this difficult decision.

“But I feel like it’s the end of a very beautiful chapter. Everything about this moment has been beautiful, right?”
Casemiro announced in January that this would be his last season at United.
But he then went on to shine under Michael Carrick – chipping in five goals as they comfortably clinched a Champions League spot.
The song of “one more year Casemiro” became a regular feature in United matches, but in the end, there was to be no U-turn.
Anna said: “The chant feels like a declaration of love for him.
“For us, there’s an emptiness in leaving, so the love we are receiving through the song means so much.”
Casemiro has agreed a deal in principle to join up with fellow South American Lionel Messi at Inter Miami.
